Supporting Optimal Fertility

Considerations for Supporting Optimal Fertility

What should we consider while preparing for pregnancy now or in our future?  First, conventional medicine is lacking in preconception planning.  Also, we spend so much of our lives wishing our periods would go away, using birth control to suppress our hormones and doing everything to not get pregnant.

Then, when our time comes want to get pregnant, we realize –

  • We don’t know much of anything about our cycle
  • We get lost in overwhelming volume of information of what not to do and what to do and we have no idea what we should be listening to

My experience with clients are in one of two places –

  • Want to get pregnant soon and are experiencing cycle symptoms and want to do what they can to support their  body in the best way possible for a healthy pregnancy
  • Want to get pregnant in the next year or two and want to be confident they are doing the right things now to support their body

They really just want support –

  • How to know when they are ovulating
  • What are the right labs to get checked
  • Fertility nutrition
  • Supplements – what and how to take them
  • Help with decoding their cycles to see where the imbalances are

They generally have been on the stress roller coaster as they have been navigating this process solo without any guidance or direction.

Some have experienced cycle issues after being on hormonal birth control for years, struggling with ovulation, PCOS, period pain, PMS or endometriosis.

Our period is like our own personal check engine light for our fertility.  A healthy period, consistent cycle length with minimal symptoms can give you a window into how your hormones are functioning throughout the month.

If you have been experiencing any cycle issues, getting to the root causes for them is the best way you can support your body in the best possible way.

I focus on:

  • Healing your cycle
  • Blood sugar balance
  • Checking progesterone levels
  • Reducing hormone disrupting chemicals
  • Checking key labs
  • Supporting sleep
  • Cycle and ovulation tracking
  • Targeted supplementation
  • Managing stress
