Hormone Balancing

Lots of Symptoms Can Be Linked to Hormone Imbalances

Let’s look –

  • Any period issue
  • PMS
  • Cramps
  • Bloating
  • Pain
  • Gut issues
  • Mood swings
  • Anxiety
  • Sleep issues
  • Acne
  • Hair loss
  • Headaches
  • Low energy
  • Sleep issues

How many of these did you check off?  If you have, it’s entirely possible you have a hormone imbalance.

Often when checking off symptoms from a list and you have a bunch of symptoms, you determine you have a hormone imbalance and then you:

  1. Try things that are said to be “hormone balancing”
  2. Try various things to address each symptom separately – i.e.  trying X for period cramps, Y for bloating and Z for sleep

This approach will keep you in an endless cycle with your symptoms.

  1. The term hormone balancing is very general.  What we really need is to understand which hormones are imbalanced
  2. Instead of treating symptoms which is the WHAT is showing up, we need to uncover and address the root cause – the WHY it is showing up

When there is a list of many random and disjointed symptoms, there are a handful of root causes behind those symptoms.

When we address the root cause we are addressing many symptoms at once.  Exercise and movement are one of the key foundations so I always talk about this with clients.

  • type of movement
  • frequency
  • intensity
  • building a routine
  • realistic goals and building on them
  • scaling back if overdoing it
  • adjusting based on cortisol levels and pattern throughout the day
  • fueling workouts
  • relationship to exercise

This is one part of helping our hormones come into balance.  If you checked off multiple symptoms on the list, let’s chat and create a plan of action so you can start feeling better and begin to bring your hormones back into balance.
