Vermont Maple Pork Chops

This recipe is sooooo good.  The gravy is amazing!

Vermont Maple Pork Chops

Ingredients
  

  • 6 Pork chops
  • 1/2 Cup Chopped onion
  • 1 Tbl Vinegar
  • 1/2 Tsp Chili powder
  • 1/4 Tsp Black pepper
  • 1/4 Cup Pure Maple Syrup
  • 1 Tbl Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 Tsp Salt
  • Flour to thicken gravy
  • Vegetable oil for browning pork chops

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  • Lightly brown pork chops in a small amount of oil
  • Place chops in a flat baking dish
  • Combine other ingredients over low heat and pour over pork chops
  • Cover and bake 45 minutes, basting occasionally
  • Uncover and bake 15 minutes longer
  • Remove pork chops, keep warm
  • Thicken sauce with flour and serve over pork chops and rice or mashed potatoes
